Join a Committee
Get Involved – Join a Chamber Committee!
Working with a committee is a great way to network and meet people, be involved in an issue that interests you, and learn and practice leadership skills. Below is a brief summary of each Midway Chamber Committee.
The Ambassadors mission is to welcome new members and new businesses to the Chamber and encourage their participation in Chamber activities. Ambassadors meet one-on-one with Chamber members to present annual membership certificates and represent the Chamber at community functions, groundbreakings, and store openings. This is a great networking opportunity. (Meets the day before the monthly membership meeting)
The Economic Development Committee encourages and guides economic development in the Midway through advocacy, policy and program development, support for existing business and recruitment of new business. (Meets the 4th Tuesday of the month at 11:30am)
A critical committee for the health of the Chamber! This group actively works to attract members to the Chamber through personal networking, creation of recruitment strategies, and follow-up with current and prospective members. This also is a great way to meet people and build your referral network.
Creates and implements the Chamber’s major fundraising event, the Annual Celebration. Primary responsibilities include soliciting silent auction donations, creating a theme for the event, handling logistics, and ensuring a smooth, successful evening. (Meets monthly September through February).
Handles arrangements, format and details of annual golf tournament, including design of contests, solicitation of door prizes and giveaway items, etc. (Meets monthly from January to June).
