Economic Development Committee
Working with a committee is a great way to network and meet people, be involved in an issue that is of interest to you, below is a brief summary of the Midway Chamber Committee Economic Development Committee. We welcome your participation.
The Economic Development Committee encourages and guides economic development in the Midway through advocacy, policy and program development, support for existing businesses and recruitment of new businesses. Current priorities include working with the Metropolitan Council on the development of the Central Corridor Light Rail transit system, information on new developments and local government topics that may affect your business.
The Economic Development Committee meets the 4th Tuesday of the month (unless otherwise noted) at 12:00 p.m. at rotating locations throughout the Midway area. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch when they take part in these meetings. The 2011-2012 meeting schedule is as follows:
Tuesday, January 24 – University Bank Tuesday, February 28 – American Engineering & Testing Tuesday, March 27- Location TBD Tuesday, April 24 – Location TBD Tuesday, May 22 – Location TBD Tuesday, June 26 – Location TBD
*All meetings are held at 12:00pm
In addition to attending the meetings, we ask members to keep us informed of economic development topics that would be of interest to our members.
