Ambassador Mission

To welcome new members to the Chamber, to encourage new member participation in networking and promotion opportunities, and to represent the Chamber at community functions and new business openings.


Ambassador Commitment

As the public relations arm of the Midway Chamber of Commerce, Ambassadors are often
the first contact for new and prospective members.  Encouraged to select the most effective activities to meet their personal and professional objectives.  All of the activities can be conveniently worked into your schedule.


Ambassador Activities

  • Lead committee on organizing and participating in Ribbon Cuttings for new businesses within the Midway Area.
  • Greeters and Table Hosts at Monthly Membership Luncheons – Luncheons take place on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from September to July, starting at 11:30 am and ending at 1 pm.
  • Delivery of membership packets that are distributed to new and renewing members.
  • Lead committee on the organization and promotion of a fall fundraising event for the Midway Chamber. 
  • Lunch on the Avenue participant.  Lunch on the Avenue takes place every other Thursday throughout the year, starting at noon.

Community involvement activities for 2011-2012 include:

  • Dialing For Dollars fall fundraising event.
  • Food Shelf Drive for Keystone Community Services.
  • December Midway Chamber Gives Back – Online fundraising drive for non-profits.
  • Memorial Blood Center Blood Drive.

Ambassador Benefits
As an Ambassador, you have extensive opportunities to network and get your name out to new and existing members. The following is only a sampling of the ways this is done:

  • Recognized on the Midway Chamber’s website.
  • Profiled in the chamber’s online Newsletter “Avenues.”
  • Ambassador’s business cards or brochures can be included in the certificate packets that are distributed to new and renewing members.
  • Opportunity to be the initial point of contact for new and prospective members at luncheons and special events.
