What the Midway Chamber has to Offer
The Chamber is actively involved in recruiting businesses
to the Midway and in helping existing businesses thrive.

A primary
focus for the Chamber is attracting and retaining jobs and tax base
for the Midway area by bringing in new business and development.
Revitalizing
the University Avenue Corridor
The
Chamber is working closely with other economic development organizations,
resident organizations, private developers and the public sector
to spur public and private investment in the University Avenue corridor.
Of special focus for the Chamber is our effort to relocate the public
transit bus garage and redevelop the site.
The
Chamber is a strong partner with the St. Paul Police Department
in improving crime prevention in the Midway business community.
Improving
Communication Between Business, Residents and Government
The
Chamber is helping build bridges between all the stakeholders in
the Midway, including residents, businesses, and government agencies
and officials, in the recognition that we can create an even brighter
future for our community if we all work together.
Strengthening
the Midway Business Community by Helping Individual
Businesses be Successful
The
Chamber is a resource for businesses who need information on licensing,
financing, relocation, redevelopment, marketing, etc. We also provide
many tools and opportunities for businesses that want to promote their goods and services to other businesses and Midway consumers.
Public
Policy/Government Relations
The
Chamber routinely meets with elected and appointed officials and
other civic leaders to discuss issues of importance to the Midway.

Speakers
and Seminars
Throughout
the year the Chamber presents dozens of informative and entertaining
presentations at general luncheon meetings and at special breakfast
seminars.
Midway
Avenues
The
Chamber's bi-monthly newsletter is filled with information designed
to help members keep up on important issues affecting the Midway.
The newsletter also provides great visibility for members and reaches
more than 900 businesspeople, government officials, community leaders
and others.

and Task Forces
The
Chamber's work is largely done by more than 200 people who volunteer
their time and expertise to serve on one of the Chamber's Committees
or Task Forces, including the Economic Development Committee, Workforce
