Celebration of Nonprofits: Planning In An Unpredictable TimeStrategic plans usually encompass the next 3-5 years, but how can you even plan for the next 3-6 months in such an unpredictable time? Join us as we hear from Goodwill/Easter Seals’ Michael Wirth-Davis on how to navigate during the time of COVID. Michael will also touch on workforce training programs and how to better connect with BIPOC communities.
About Dr. Michael Wirth-Davis, Good Will Easter Seals
Dr. Michael Wirth-Davis serves as president and CEO of Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota (St. Paul). He began his tenure in November 1990 and has more than 35 years of experience in a variety of nonprofit and community leadership positions. He has served in national leadership roles for both Goodwill Industries International (GII) and Easterseals. Locally he has served on the local boards of MN Council of Nonprofits, Charities Review Council and Nonprofit Assistance Fund; he has participated in the Itasca Project and on the Baldrige Minnesota Quality Award Panel of Judges. He has received numerous leadership awards. Wirth-Davis is an adjunct faculty member for the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and is a member of the Humphrey School’s Future Services Institute in its Public and Nonprofit Leadership Center. He is also an adjunct faculty member for Hamline University’s School of Business Graduate Program in Nonprofit Management.
Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides job training and career navigation services to eliminate barriers to work and independence. Revenue from nearly 50 retail stores ― along with grants and financial contributions ― supports Minnesotans with digital literacy skills, resume development, understanding government benefits and more. Shopping and donating helps divert over 65 million pounds from landfills annually and have helped us connect people to jobs since 1919.
